Isuzu TRAVIZ Proves Fuel Efficiency in Family Road Challenge

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), together with dealer partner Isuzu Gencars, Inc., recently put the Isuzu TRAVIZ to the test in a unique fuel efficiency challenge that combined real-world driving conditions with family-friendly fun and adventure. The event highlighted the Isuzu TRAVIZ’s versatility as both a dependable business vehicle and a comfortable ride for families.

Titled “Gencars Family Fun on the Go with Isuzu TRAVIZ,” the event brought together a total of 19 families, along with potential buyers, from Isuzu Batangas in Sto. Tomas, Isuzu Batangas City, Isuzu San Pablo, and Isuzu Sta. Rosa. Each family drove one Isuzu TRAVIZ unit, forming a 19-vehicle convoy to Sandari Batulao, a mountainside wellness residential village in Batangas under Citystate Properties and Management Corporation (CPMC). Before departure, all units were fully refueled to ensure accurate measurement of fuel consumption throughout the journey.

Over the two-hour drive, the Isuzu TRAVIZ Utility Vans with Dual AC delivered a smooth and comfortable ride to all participants. Passengers enjoyed the spacious, ergonomically designed cabin, complemented by a powerful dual air-conditioning system that provided consistent cooling throughout the entire vehicle. The Isuzu TRAVIZ’s 4JA1 Blue Power Engine, which delivers 78 PS of maximum power and 176.5 N-m of torque, proved its capability to carry the load efficiently, while its compact yet durable body allowed it to navigate various road conditions with ease.

Upon reaching the scenic destination, fuel efficiency was measured, resulting in the following winners from each dealership branch:

Each participant received a ₱5,000 cash prize for achieving the most fuel-efficient numbers for their respective dealership. Isuzu San Pablo, having recorded the highest fuel efficiency, was declared the overall winner and awarded an additional ₱5,000 cash prize along with a day tour stay for five at Sandari Batulao. Participants from Isuzu Batangas and Isuzu Batangas City also received day tour packages for securing the runner-up spots.

The event was spearheaded by Ms. Rosabel B. Dimacuha, Isuzu Gencars Vice President for Region IV-A Operations, together with Operations Managers William L. Abril of Isuzu Batangas, Eric A. Latayan of Isuzu Batangas City, and Evangeline M. Garcia of Isuzu San Pablo. They were joined by IPC Dealer Sales Manager Emyll Maligalig, Dealer Sales Supervisor Rommer Rojales, and Dealer Sales Staff Sharmaine Mabilin.

The event not only showcased the Isuzu TRAVIZ’s real-world fuel efficiency but also reinforced IPC’s dedication to delivering vehicles that meet the diverse needs of Filipinos — from daily business operations to weekend family getaways. “The Isuzu TRAVIZ was built with the Filipino market in mind — combining fuel efficiency, durability, and comfort in one reliable package,” said Toshihiko Kojima, IPC Vice President for Sales. “Events like these allow us to showcase how the TRAVIZ performs in real-world conditions, and we’re proud to see it deliver.”

After the competition, the families were treated to a vibrant program featuring a sumptuous lunch, fun games, and engaging activities such as kite-making, painting, photo booth sessions, swimming, seed planting for kids, and free massages for adults.
